The Atlanta Chapter of the National Space Society

PURPOSE: The National Space Society is an international membership group dedicated to furthering the exploration and development of space. Its grassroots efforts are coordinated through nearly 100 local chapters in the United States and other countries.

The Atlanta Chapter is active in public outreach and education, monitoring of legislative activity related to space, and recruiting of new members for the national organization. With outstanding local resources such as the Fernbank Science Center and the Georgia Institute of Technology, we work towards realization of the NSS vision of "people living and working in thriving communities beyond the Earth".

MEETINGS: Meetings are generally held at 7:30 pm on the third Thursday of each month at the Fernbank Science Center (Heaton Park Drive, Decatur, Georgia). See the Meeting Notice page for the latest detailed information on upcoming meetings.

MEMBERSHIP: Membership is open to anyone; local annual dues are $12.00. National dues are an additional $35.00 and include a subscription to the bimonthly magazine Ad Astra. In addition, the chapter receives a rebate for each new national member that we recruit.
